After a hiatus from programming last year after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the SpringWorks independent theater and art festival is back this year with offers slated throughout the summer instead of ‘a condensed period in August, as has been the case in the past.

Following her imaginative and interactive performances at the 2019 SpringWorks Festival, the captivating new show from puppeteer Isabelle Payant is perfect for families with children aged three to eight who are looking for a safe and fun return to live entertainment, said the artistic producer Eileen Smith.

“Isabelle Payant came with us several times. … She was amazing because, in the height of COVID, she figured out how to present herself on the outside. She did this show all winter and then did a summer version of it that she presented to daycares and small families, ”Smith said.

“It’s interactive. Children can help choose the stones that tell the stories. They decide which direction the story will take. They help create a song and all that.

With a total of 19 shows in Stratford lasting 45 minutes in the afternoons, evenings and some mornings between July 5 and 11, each performance will be limited to an audience of three domestic groups physically two apart. to five people.

In order to limit the number of spectators to the provincial limit of 10 people for outdoor gatherings, each performance will be held around a campfire in a surprise location somewhere on the grounds of Gallery Stratford.

“These pods will be two feet apart and two feet from (Paying),” Smith said, “and we’re putting them in a secret location in the gallery as it’s not intended for other people to see it.It’s supposed to be private and secure.

While SpringWorks – PuppetWorks is once again offering tickets through its pay what you choose pricing model, those who contribute more than the suggested $ 20 per family will also receive a tax receipt for the charitable donation.
