Raamla Mohamed, creator of “Reasonable Doubt”, extends the global agreement with the signing of ABC

EXCLUSIVE: Writer Raamla Mohamed remains in business with ABC Signature with a multi-year extension of his global contract. Extension follows Mohamed’s legal drama Reasonable doubt get a serial order through Onyx Collective to stream on Hulu. Mohamed signed his first combination with The Studio, part of Disney Television Studios, in 2018, and has been part of the Disney family since 2009.

No more Deadline

Onyx Collective commissioned its legal drama Reasonable doubt in September to stream on Hulu. The ten-episode series, starring Emayatzy Corinealdi, is produced by ABC Signature, Larry Wilmore and Kerry Washington, who directs the pilot.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mohamed graduated from Columbia University and, after a brief stint in an off-Broadway theater in New York City, received her MFA in Film and Television Writing from USC. She then became a member of the Disney / ABC writing program. As a writer in the series Scandal, Mohamed wrote eleven episodes for the series, including the seventh season crossover episode with How to get away with a murder. She was writer / executive co-producer on the Emmy nominated film Small fires everywhere for Hulu. His other projects include a romantic comedy feature film for Universal Pictures with Malcolm Lee, and a comedy feature film for Amblin with Tiffany Haddish.

Mohamed is replaced by UTA and Ziffren Brittenham.
