Legendary puppeteer Farooq Qaiser was known for his character “Uncle Sargame” died at the age of 76 on Friday in Islamabad.
According to reports, Pakistani television (PTV) Icon and one of the pioneers of puppetry and the arts in Pakistan, Farooq Qaiser died of cardiac arrest in Islamabad on Friday,
He was well known among Pakistani children in the 80s and 90s due to his character Uncle Sargam in a children’s show Kaliyan.
Farooq Qaiser began his career as an artist after graduating from the National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore.
Lived most of his life in the capital Islamabad and died on Friday May 14, 2021 at the age of 76.
