Natrona County Public Library welcomes ventriloquist

CASPER, Wyoming (Wyoming News Now) – The Natrona County Public Library is hosting performances by ventriloquist Meghan Casey this week. Meghan has performed at Casper for the past ten years to help the Natrona County Library promote their summer reading program. She entertains and educates local youth on the importance of reading through her skills as a performer.

Meghan has been ventriloquist since she was just five, and has been performing at Casper since she was 16. Throughout her career, she toured throughout the western United States with her company Rocky Mountain Puppets. Last summer, during the pandemic, she canceled over 200 shows, so she started performing on zoom, but eventually found a larger audience on the TikTok social media platform. On TikTok, Meghan has nearly 200 million followers and continues to grow in popularity.

Her performances at the Natrona County Library will continue through Friday, July 23, and will take place twice a day with performances at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. On Friday there will be a last performance at 3:00 p.m. after the previous two shows. Performances are free and take place on the lower level of the Natrona County Library.
